Dr. Bahram Habibi Provides Free Medical Care to the Victims of Hurricane Maria
SAN JUAN, Puerto RIco, November 6, 2017 (Newswire.com) – Hurricane Maria left a bitter taste behind it. Thousands of homes were devastated and millions of lives were put in danger due to flooding and strong winds.
But in times like this, some members of the community came together to give a hand to those in need. Among those brave people was Dr. Bahram Habibi, who helped a number of victims of hurricane Maria by providing his medical services for free.
“I knew that soon enough the hospitals will be overwhelmed and many people will suffer because there aren’t enough resources to help everyone on the island,” said Dr. Bahram Habibi.
When authorities announced that Puerto Rico will be hit hard by the storm, Dr. Habibi was already making plans for how he could help the people who will soon be in danger due to their existing medical conditions, lack of clean water, and anxiety attacks.
But the kind man wasn’t alone in his efforts. Dr. Habibi was joined by an entire crew of responders who helped him provide assistance to those in need.
Dr. Habibi and his team started looking on the streets for houses that looked to be damaged by the storm as well as signs that someone may be injured or trapped inside with no access to medication.
During severe situations, patients who are dependent on insulin, or any other type of medication that is needed on a daily basis to survive, are in danger even if they aren’t affected by the storm directly.
Many hospitals were hit hard by the storm, which made it even harder for specialists to help those in need.
Dr. Bahram Habibi knew that many hospitals were overwhelmed by the number of patients, and they could not handle it either. This is why he went searching for people who need his help.
He was equipped with life-saving machinery and a crew that helped him keep the death count low when compared to other natural disasters.
During severe hurricanes, medical professionals are overwhelmed, and there is usually not enough personnel to reach the island and provide proper care.
In the aftermath, many Americans lost their homes and lives. Dr. Habibi is now thinking about what the future will bring for Puerto Rico during another natural disaster.
While his crew did save many lives, there are still many aspects of the health system that need to be taken care of to prevent situations like this.
Many hospitals were overwhelmed by the storm since there weren’t enough generators to provide for the patients on life-support. Better equipped hospitals increase the chances of providing higher quality services.
During the storm, Dr. Habibi provided hospitals with generators and now wants to help the community come together and work toward preparing the island for a future hurricane.
Dr. Bahram Habibi is involved in fundraising campaigns that are meant to provide essential equipment to hospitals and ambulances that could prove to be life-saving during powerful storms.
He believes that by bringing the community and the local authorities together, we can provide more support to the locals when hurricanes occur. Sometimes, there aren’t enough ambulances to access every corner of the island.
“Without the equipment, many people will be in danger even in hospitals, each hospital should be equipped with power generators that can provide energy for days after the hurricane hit the Puerto Rico.”
At the moment, Dr. Habibi continues his efforts towards providing equipment for hospitals in Puerto Rico as the organizer of the fundraising effort.

Dr. Bahram Habibi Helps Puerto Rico to Rebuild Following Hurricane Maria’s Destructive Wrath.
San Juan, Puerto Rico, October 24, 2017 (Newswire.com) – The powerful hurricane’s path hit the island hard in September and is still feeling the effects one month later.
There have been many immediate responders to the island, including Dr. Bahram Habibi. He has helped the victims of Hurricane Maria in many ways since it was clear what the destruction was.
When government officials started to warn the citizens of Puerto Rico about the oncoming storm, Dr. Habibi made his way to help prepare.
But as the storm hit the island, it became apparent how severe the effects of the hurricane would be.
Dr. Bahram Habibi credits his crew of skilled first responders that accompanied him on the trip. Equipped with life-saving machinery, they were able to keep the death toll reasonably low compared to other similar natural disasters.
Not only did Dr. Habibi and his crew help victims with life-saving procedures, but he was also hands-on with rescuing people who were trapped in the rumble of many homes. He also helped victims to safe refuge for the rest of the storm and
The relief efforts right off the storm hit were instrumental in saving many lives. The number of first responders was not as high as initially thought because the island was hard to get to once the storm hit. Dr. Habibi and his crew benefited from arriving early and preparing.
The hospitals of Puerto Rico were severely hit during the storm, which has hindered the relief efforts and assisting those who need medical attention. This also has left the government of Puerto Rico scrambling to deal with the damage and to restore a functional health system.
Because of the crippling health system because of the hurricane, Dr. Bahram Habibi plans to stay in Puerto Rico longer than expected. Rather than leaving a few days after the storm hitting and letting citizens deal with the effects, he will continue to help for the foreseeable future.
The cleanup process is still ongoing and will take many years to fully recover. Thousands are left without their homes or shelter after the storm. Dr. Habibi has temporary provided accommodation to those whose homes were utterly destroyed and rendered uninhabitable.
To accommodate as many citizens as he can, Dr. Habibi and his team have set up special camps were survivors can safely reside in. The decision to set up these shelters have greatly helped hundreds of people who would otherwise have nowhere else to go during these trying times.
Dr. Bahram Habibi is thinking about the future of Puerto Rico and their people. Hospitals and other medical facilities have the frustrating task of monitoring and caring for victims who need long-term care. Essential equipment at these hospitals has to function correctly and need electricity to run. Because of the storm, medical care has become a struggle to provide.
But Dr. Habibi has provided generators to many of these hospitals, giving them the power to these pieces of equipment. Because of this assistance, many lives have been saved.
While much of the island continues to operate without essentials, Dr. Habibi’s efforts are making a difference in many lives.
While many others would like to be recognized for their efforts, Dr. Bahram Habibi does not seek attention. He just wants the people of Puerto Rico to push on and survive for years to come.
He would love to come back to the island years from now and be able to enjoy beautiful luxuries Puerto Rico has to offer. He knows the people will overcome this after witnessing first hand the human resilience during this horrible disaster.

Dr. Bahram Habibi Helps Aid Puerto Rico After Hurricane Maria
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, October 12, 2017 (Newswire.com) – Puerto Rico has been left shaken after Hurricane Maria. They have been utterly devastated and are in critical need of assistance. Over half of the population remain without electricity and the potential rebuild job that must be done to restore the power structure and other basic essentials could take years. The people of Puerto Rico have desperately called out for more support and funding.
He has helped the victims of Hurricane Maria in a number of different ways. Firstly, he was on the island aiding with the rescue effort as soon the hurricane hit. He was an immediate responder and came equipped with a crew that carried life-saving equipment with them. He should take credit for the fact the death toll has remained fairly low compared to other similar disasters. He and his first response team helped rescue people who were trapped due to the hurricane. They helped rescue a number of people and took them into a safe refuge. This quick and effective help was massively required by the island as soon as the hurricane hit. They definitely had a shortage of rescue officers available, however, with the help of Habibi, the impact of these shortages was lessened.
Dr. Bahram Habibi also stayed around on the island in order to provide a long-term sustained relief effort. Rather than leaving after a few days and letting the Islanders deal with the impact, he remained an integral person in the continued rebuilding process. This process is still ongoing and may even have last years. One of the ways he has helped with the rebuilding project is that he helped to provide temporary accommodation to those whose homes were completely destroyed and rendered uninhabitable. He and his team set up special camps where evacuees could safely reside in. They were offered essentials and food as part of their stay. This process by Habibi has greatly helped a number of helpless residents who would otherwise have absolutely nowhere else to turn to.
One of the worst-hit buildings from the hurricanes were hospitals. This has caused tremendous damage to the health care system which has been left in ruins and has left a big headache to the Puerto Rico government as they try to consider how to deal with the damage and restore a functional health system. A countries health system is one of the most important aspects and this has been kept a huge priority. Many with long-term conditions have been left in the hospital without the essential equipment functioning properly due to power cuts caused by the hurricane. This caused a number of deaths for people who were reliant upon oxygen machines for example. To address this issue in the short term, Habibi helped to install a power generator for the island’s main hospitals. This has helped them become operational again and restored a significant amount of functionality. It is a relief to those who have gained diseases and health conditions as a direct result of the hurricane. They are now able to be treated at these hospitals to alleviate conditions caused by Maria.
Dr. Bahram Habibi ‘s efforts in the long struggle to providing aid for this tragic natural disaster have been very welcomed. He has saved lives and improved many. The people of Puerto Rico have recognized the huge effort he has put in to save their island, maybe the world will now start to hear his story too.
